Obesity Facts - Food I Can Eat!
Fish, meat, eggs, cheese, butter, olive oil, most vegetables ( not parsnips), milk ( although I always drink soya), yoghurt, bread, fruit - a varied selection I think you would agree. Please note there is no calorie counting, or weighing involved which is a refreshing change! All cooking methods are permitted, including frying, so I can even have a fried steak if I feel like it with an egg! Let me start with the foods that I have to avoid, and in general these are any which have white flour or are cereal based. If we go back to the insulin index, and look at carbohydrate rich foods, then I avoid any food with an insulin score over 40, so I no longer eat pasta, rice, or potatoes, but I am allowed one slice of bread per day. Obesity Facts - The Early Years

Like many women, and I suspect some men, I struggled with my weight from adolescence. Following my teenage years in the late 60’s my weight ballooned for no apparent reason. Drastic action was called for and I took to diuretic tablets to help with water retention, and with reduced calorie intake I managed to reduce my weight to a mere 8 stone. There comes a point in everyone’s life that no matter what you are trying to achieve, whether in business or in your personal life, that you step back and take stock when things are not working out as you planned.
